Sons of Thunder Software was founded by Ken Ray in 1994, and was originally created in order to develop commercial
Biblical software. (The name “Sons of Thunder” comes from a passage in the Bible
(Mark 3:17)
referring to James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were called the “sons of thunder” because of their
outspokenness.)
While design was underway for a potential commercial product, Ken was involved in the stackware (SuperCard, HyperCard, etc.) community, helping Allegiant Technologies (and later, IncWell DMG, Ltd.) bring the SuperCard product from version 2.0 to version 3.0. During this time, more work was going on with SuperCard than with the Biblical software development, and the company focused on providing consulting, conversion and custom application development services to the public at large. By the way: for a good online version of the Bible, we recommend blueletterbible.org - they have multiple versions, including Hebrew and Greek, and an online concordance as well! |
